MR MIKE FOSTER
Mike
Foster qualified in Birmingham in 1980, undertook general surgical training
and research in Nottingham before moving to Manchester to concentrate on urology.
He returned to Birmingham in 1991. In 1992, he was appointed to the post of Consultant Urologist at Selly Oak and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. In 1995 Mr Foster moved to Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield to help set up their urology department, and has been there since.
As well as running a busy general urological practice, he has developed a special interest in andrology, attracting tertiary referrals from around the region. He has been Trust Lead Cancer Clinician and Clinical Director of the Department of Surgery at Good Hope, as well as being Chair of the pan-Birmingham Urological Cancer Network.
He is currently a member of the pan-Birmingham Cancer Network Board, Regional Advisor in Urology to the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Association of Urological Surgeons, and secretary of the Midland Urological Club.
