MR CHRISTOPHER LUSCOMBE

Mr Christopher Luscombe graduated from Birmingham University in 1992 and completed his surgical training in the West Midlands. He has a particular interest in prostate cancer and has published widely on this disease including several articles in The Lancet. He was awarded an MD in 2003 for his research into the molecular biology of prostate cancer and holds grants to investigate this further.

He was appointed as a Consultant Urological Surgeon at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in 2005 and has developed an interest into Laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.

He regularly performs laparoscopic radical prostatectomy, nephrectomy and pyeoloplasty in addition to other procedures. He is the Deputy Chairman of the Greater Midlands Cancer Network (Urology).
